This is one of the first "expat in Paris" books (and there are a lot) that I actually like. It was originally written as if it was a true memoire by Paul West, but it's actually a fictional novel...based on as much truth as Stephen is willing to admit. ;)

Interestingly, Stephen self-published this book before it was bought by a big publisher. Another success story...

This is the third book in the "Year in the Merde" series chronicalling the adventures of Paul West (this time as he goes to the US).

This is Stephen Clarke's hilarious take on understanding the French. A fun, easy read.

Pastry chef David Lebovitz originally came from San Francisco, and has been living and writing cook books in Paris for several years now. His blog is excellent. This chocolate book is divine. Yum!!!

Okay, it's not about Paris, but it was "made in Paris", with lots of great Paris anecdotes alongside the recipies. And I even get a cameo mention (on the Guinness ice cream page)! :D

Looooove David Sedaris! He captures the angst and joy of expatriate living in France with his typical humor.
