Sip wine and enjoy appetizers in the company of David Lebovitz, with music by Cat Jahnke, all for a good cause! Help support the SOS Helpline, the emotional support line in English by attending their "Apéro-Dinatoire" evening, at Verjus Restaurant (just outside Palais Royal, 47 rue Montpensier, 1st) from 6-9pm. The fee is €60/person, and I will be there as Master of Ceremonies for the evening. RSVP on their website. See you there!

Constructed in the XIVth century, the castle served as a royal residence and hunting ground, until it was converted into a state prison where many notable French historical figures were held.

Opening Hours: Guided tours daily except Monday. Château open daily September 1-April 30 from 10am-12pm and 1pm-5pm; May 2-August 31 from 10am-12pm and 1pm-6pm. Closed January1, May 1, November 1, 11 and December 25.

Tickets: Different tour tickets vary between €6 to €3.50 depending on the length of visit.

Free Entrance: Kids under 10.

Info and Services: Visits in English are scheduled in July and August.
