Naughty Paris on the Playboy Channel

Today I did my first media appearence for Playboy Channel's new series beginning in March called "69 Sexy Things to Do Before You Die". Here I am on the banks of the Seine trying not to look cold, talking about my guidebook and all of the naughty things you can get yourself into in Paris.

Strategically hiding the rubbish bin, I'm now ready for my close up...

The Naughty Paris Guide is now in editorial production! The cover is done -- pretty, non?

Naughty Paris Guide Photographer Begins Shooting Today

After many months of trying to find the right team to produce the Naughty Paris Guide, I have finally found an excellent photographer, Kirsten Loop, who agreed to come to Paris all the way from Toronto to shoot over 25 locations in a ten-day period. Stay tuned on the progress at the Naughty Paris Blog.

Urgence Humanitaire Asie (Humanitarian Emergency in Asia)

Not all of my work is for fluffy travel guides and magazines.

I've been helping Rémi Fritsch, president of UHA (Urgence Humanitaire Asie), translate the newsletters of his non-profit organization, created a year ago to help the thousands of predominantly Hmong refugees being exterminated in Laos. Their crime? They're the children and grandchildren of those who fought on the side of the Americans (and before that, the French) during the Vietnam War.

It doesn't seem to be up on the UHA site yet, so in the meantime you can read the rough draft here.

Michelin Green Guide to the French Riviera

MichelinCover.jpgThis spring has been spent updating Michelin's Green Guide to the French Riviera (the English version, of course). It feels like I just updated the last edition (in fall 2005; published in 2006), but it's amazing how fast things can change in just two years!

Naughty Paris Website

For all of you following the progress of the Naughty Paris guide check out the new website: www.naughtyparisguide.com. At the moment the text is in its final stages, printer quotes are coming in, and the photographer has been taking some preliminary shots. I'll be touring around the US for a month, so it's not likely that the guide will go to pressuntil the fall. But in the mean time stay tuned for the upcoming Naughty Paris events!
