Paris Winter Scenes

You just never know what kind of weather you'll get in February. On Monday morning we had a mini-blizzard that lasted about 20 minutes...

View of the Place d'Italie from my office window.

On Friday we had a sunny 10°C spring-like day...

Pedro & Lena tearing up the Passerelle Simone de Beauvoir,
as the sun sets behind the Bibliothèque François Mitterrand.

And a damp, chilly Sunday afternoon that I would have spent in front of my computer if it weren't for the call of oysters and wine with visiting Seattleite seafood connoisseur Jon Rowley...

We were in Paris last February and it was wet and cold the whole time we were there. Three years ago it almost hit 70 degrees and people were sunning themselves in Luxembourg Gardens.

I adore oysters, and eating them in Paris would be heavenly! We did just have some in Southern California, but I think I would enjoy them even more in Paris.

I made my first trip to Paris this July - I'll note that wine bar, in the hopes of making another visit soon.

The Baron Rouge is my favorite spot for oysters. I love fresh cold oysters-must go back to Paris in winter.
