Photo Essay of the Chinese New Year Parade

"As a Chinese-American living in Texas, it has been quite a while since I have been to a decent Chinese New Year event. It has been at least 5 years since I have been around the loud, jolly and colorful event. This year, I had the opportunity to spend the year of the Rabbit in Paris, watching the Chinese New Year parade in the Quartier Chinois."

Chinese New Year Champagne

Pommery is releasing a limited edition of their Pop mini-Champagne bottles for the Chinese New Year (February 14th, a convenient date if you want to forget that other holiday) called the Pop Dragon.

It actually looks pretty cool, and even has its own matching embroidered red drawstring bag. But as this is the year of the Tiger (my year!) it would have been more appropriate to go with the sexy fauve, non?
