Bread, Roses, Champagne...what else do you need?

By far the best cheesecake I've had in Paris, organic breads, and delicious food...okay, so it's a bit on the pricey side, but they also sell chilled Dom Perignon to go for less than it's sold in local wine shops. So much to love!

The New "Ladurée Bar"

Just when I thought Ladurée couldn't get any better, they open up the gorgeous new Ladurée Bar at their Champs-Elysées location. Where there was once just a wall at the end of the pastry counter, is now a doorway leading to an elegant bar open from 7:30am-1am (until 2am Fri-Sat, opens at 10am on Sat-Sun). The design is a contemporary take on an Art Nouveau butterfly cocoon, and this photo simply doesn't do it justice.

The difference between Le Bar and the Salon du Thé? Namely, the speed at which you're served (which, I must admit, is always a sore point when you're trying to eat and leave in under two hours). Just take a seat at the bar and order gourmet "snacks" such as salmon salads, truffle omlettes, foie gras, caviar blinis, lobster gaspacho soup, etc (from €10-30). There are also the famous Ladurée pastries, breakfast in the morning, and a fll bar of cocktails, wine, Champagne, beers, and spirits.

Opened since September 22, I had a peek last night with my friends and it was alreay packed full. At night the walls glow in the low-lit bar, a très sexy atmosphere for your late-night rendez-vous. ;)
