I'm happy to announce that my first self-published book, Naughty Paris: A Lady's Guide to the Sexy City, was named Best Travel Guidebook of the year in the 2009 Independent Publisher Book Awards. Of course I couldn't have done it without the gorgeous photography of Kirsten Loop in Canada and the design wizardry of theBookDesigners in San Francisco. The awards will be presented during a gala banquet at BookExpo America in New York City (May 28-31).
If you're in New York, come celebrate with me afterwards at the Ladies Love Paris book signing event (May 31, at Flûte Champagne Lounge).

Friday, October 17, 2008 Last Saturday I was invited to Katia & Kyliemac's Parisian "coffee table studio" for episodes 183 and 184 of their hilarious (and highly informative) podcast. We chat about Naughty Paris, French men, Parisian women, anglophone drinking tendancies, and other girlie chat and giggles. One disclaimer before you listen: there was a constantly-replenished supply of M&Ms, so I was on a massive sugar high! Hear it here and here.
I dare you to try and NOT listening to every single Katia & Kyliemac podcast in a row, these ladies are just toooooooo fun! And they're celebrating their 200th podcast with a live episode on December 6 at the Great Canadian Pub. See their website for more details.
