If you’re looking for a cozy wine bar, Le Taverne Henry IV is conveniently located across from the Vedettes de Pont Neuf river cruise port at western tip of the Ile de la Cité (facing the big horseback statue of -- guess who -- King Henri IV). Squeeze into a tiny table next to the regulars for hearty quiches, cheese and coldcut platters, and country paté that perfectly accompanies the many humble yet excellent wines (mostly small growers who don’t export). I love that the decor probably hasn't changed since the 70s.
