I’ve eaten twice at this wine bistro this fall, and have really enjoyed both visits. It’s a traditional French bistro with a horse-shoe shaped zinc bar, wine memorabilia decorating the yellow walls, and the menu written up on the slate board. They specialize in hearty foods to accompany the wines (of which I should note there are over two dozen by the glass!): foie gras (my friends and I shared a platter of different kinds of foie gras as a starter), huge sirloin ribs, stews in iron pots, duck, etc.
You can also now take your unfinished wine to go! Closed Sundays. Terrace in the summer on a quiet side street between the Panthéon and Luxembourg Gardens. You could eat here for lunch for less than €20 if you're eating just a main dish and a glass of wine.
Lani and Brenna split a platter of bleeding meat and marrow-filled bones (and yes, they do manage to finish all of it!)
