Located on a colorful Left Bank market street, the Artus is a stylish boutique hôtel with a sleek new look (renovations were completed in 2006). It's located between the Boulevard St-Germain and the Rue de Seine, which means you can walk right out of your room and into a typical Parisian street scene. Contemporary rooms have dark wood furnishings and white-washed wood-beamed ceilings that complement brightly colored walls (in teal, yellow, or reddish rose) and bedspreads. They are by no means large (get the duplex suite under the roof if you plan on bringing huge suitcases). The bathrooms are in marble and chrome. The street-facing top-floor suite has a patio with a table and chairs, perfect for people-watching.
