Contemporary design and historical elegance meet at this sexy little boutique hotel in the chic residential district of the 17th. The decor is a creative mix of materials such as cut stone, red crocodile skin, brushed steel and designer lighting throughout. The lobby lounge bar features an open fireplace and a baby grand where a pianist plays every Tuesday night. Rooms have whimsical names like Prelude and Pastourelle with open bathrooms in Italian marble and claw-foot tubs or romantic bed canopies. The budget "Classic" rooms are more modern with walk-in showers. You may not be able to walk to Notre-Dame, but the same style and comfort in the center of town would cost twice as much.

37 rooms, 1 suite, free Internet access. Doubles from €190.
