Wini June

16 rue Dupetit-Thouars, 3rd
Temple or République

This tiny bar is in the up and coming North Marais district (aka Temple district), on a street full of cute little cafés and bars. Decorated with antiques, candles, and pretty flea market finds, it's a step above "shabby chic", very elegant and feminine, like a tearoom that serves wine and Champagne instead of...well, tea. There's not much space, a few bar stools at the back, several tables and arm chairs in the main area, and a minuscule terrace that's enclosed in winter with a heatlamp, it fills quickly with a cliquish crowd who seem to be regulars. Owners Wini and Massimo greet guests into what feels like a private living room, and there are usually vintage films being screened onto one wall. Worth a stop if you're in the hood and there's space to sit down.
